Lehigh Eyes PLC After Finishing Action at Rutgers Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – In its final round before next week's Patriot League Championship, Lehigh shot 322 in the final round of the Rutgers Invitational Sunday on the Rutgers University Golf Course. The Mountain Hawks finished the 54-hole tournament at 968 (322-324-322), tying with fellow Patriot League member Boston University for 11th place out of 16 teams.
Senior Yuki Zhu was the low Mountain Hawk, tying for 21st place at 235 (83-77-75). Zhu's final round 75 featured 14 pars and four bogeys and was the lowest round of the weekend for Lehigh.
Sophomore Alana Hall was a stroke behind Zhu, tying for 26th at 236 (77-76-83). Hall's final round included one birdie.
Lehigh's other three players were separated by three strokes. Sophomore Reese Hannon shot 256 (80-87-89) and tied for 73rd place. First-year Bridget Yu shot 257 (91-84-82) and made one birdie in her final round and finished 76th, while first-year Alisia Ren tied for 77th at 259 (82-95-82).
Host Rutgers claimed the team title at 896, with the Scarlet Knights defeating second place Penn by 12 strokes.
Seton Hall's Marta Aguilar and Penn's Mi Li tied for medalist honors at six over par 219.
Next up for the Mountain Hawks will be the Patriot League Championship, Apr. 17-19 at the Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md.
