
Lehigh to Begin Fall Season at Bill & Sandra Moore Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's tennis team begins the fall season on Friday at the Bill & Sandra Moore Invitational in Annapolis, Md. The Invitational is a three-day tournament hosted by Navy, which will conclude on Sunday.Â
The Mountain Hawks will be one of eight teams competing at the Invitational this weekend. Navy, St. Bonaventure, Binghamton, University of Mary Washington, Monmouth, George Mason and Fairleigh Dickinson are the teams competing this weekend.Â
There will be five single flights and three doubles flights. Friday will be the main draw doubles, and consolation doubles up to the semi finals.Â
Anushka and Megha Dania are doubles partners along with Allyce Gaborik and Maggie Forkner and Hamsa Javagal and Audrey Harrington. Everyone except  Megha will be competing in singles as she has a bye on FridayÂ
Lehigh has a total of 10 players on the roster this season. There are six returners for the Mountain Hawks.
 Maggie Forkner, Audrey Harrington, Hannah Letzer and Giselle Vlassis are the four incoming first-years. All four first-years halt from four different states.Â
Junior Hamsa Javagal leads the way for Lehigh as she is the lone all-league returnee.. Last season, Javagal finished with a singles record of 9-7. Javagal played as the No. 1 singles position.Â
After this weekend, Lehigh will host the Hidden Dual from Sept. 16-Sept. 17. The Mountain Hawks first and only dual meet of the season is against Monmouth on Sept. 23. Lehigh will compete in the ITA Regionals from Oct. 6 - Oct.8 at Columbia. The Mountain Hawks will host the final competition of the season from Oct. 21-Oct. 22.Â
