The Rivalry Returns to Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Rivalry, presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute, returns to Bethlehem when Lehigh men's soccer hosts Lafayette at the Ulrich Sports Complex on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Saturday's game is the first Lehigh-Lafayette home event of the season.
The Mountain Hawks come into Saturday's game with a 1-4-2 record after picking up their first win of the season on Sept. 19 after defeating Sacred Heart 2-0. The Leopards are 3-3-2. Lafayette has lost the last three games after tying the first two games and then winning the next three games.
Thomas Robertson and Perry Kingson were the two goal scorers in Lehigh's win. Robertson and Kingson both lead the team with two goals each and five points on the season. Kingson has scored both of his goals this season on a penalty kick. Kingson's penalty kick ended up being the game-winning goal in the win versus Sacred Heart.
Senior goalkeeper Blake Koski tallied six saves in Lehigh's win, including saving a penalty kick in the 75th minute. Koski owns a 1.43 GAA through seven games played this season.
Hale Lombard leads the Leopards with six goals and one assist. Eric Axtman and Griffin Huff have both seen time in net for Lafayette. Axtman and Huff have each played four games and 360 minutes. Huff has a .75 GAA and Axtman has a 1.50 GAA.
Lehigh leads the all-time series 60-49-11. The Mountain Hawks have won the last two meetings. Last season, Ryan Kuldanek scored the game-winning goal in the 1-0 win over Lafayette in Easton.
Saturday's game will be streamed on ESPN+.
Following The Rivalry, Lehigh will go on another road swing, starting with a Wednesday matchup against Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y.
