Lehigh Soccer Germany Trip Blogs: Day 4

Ethan Berger: We began the day off nice and early with breakfast in our hotel. A classic German breakfast, consisting of bread, meat, cheese, and eggs. Last night was our final match, so now it was time to relax.
Straight after breakfast, we got on the bus and headed to Allianz Arena, the home of Bayern Munich. The stadium was breathtaking, one of the largest stadiums I had ever seen. We made our way inside for a guided tour. The tour consisted of seeing the locker room, press room, pitch, benches, and supporters section. It was a surreal experience. After the tour, we walked through the Bayern museum. This went through the history of the club, and had all of their trophies on display. We spent a couple of hours here and it was a great time.
Afterwards, he headed into Munich to explore and grab some lunch. Jonah and I found a small kebab restaurant, and had a spectacular meal. One of the best dishes I've ever had. We then walked around for a few hours, grabbing some souvenirs and gifts for our families.
As night came around it was time for the Bayern Munich basketball game. It was Bayern vs Anadolu Efes Istanbul. I wasn't sure what to expect with it being a Euro League game, and how that would compare to the NBA. However, the atmosphere was insane. The crowd and the fans were electric and did not stop chanting the whole game. The game ended with an Istanbul buzzer beater to silence the Bayern fans. Finally, we headed back to the hotel for lights out. It had been a busy day, but a really fun day.
