BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Ingrassia Family men's head soccer coach Dean Koski has announced a new addition to his coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season. Chase Tackett will assume the role of assistant coach.
"I'm honored and extremely excited to join the Lehigh men's soccer staff," said Tackett. "As a Bethlehem native who grew up training here with Lehigh Valley United, this opportunity is truly a full-circle moment for me. Being able to work alongside Dean Koski and Ryan Hess, who coached me during my youth career, makes it even more special. I'm grateful to Patrick Long and Lock Haven University for helping prepare me for this moment. I can't wait to bring energy, foster a competitive environment, and get to work with this talented group of players as we continue to build something special here at Lehigh."
Tackett arrives in Bethlehem following multiple seasons at Lock Haven University, where he most recently served as an assistant coach for the Bald Eagles from 2024–25 after working as a graduate assistant from 2022–24. During his time at Lock Haven, he played a key role in organizing training sessions, developing student-athletes, and supporting all aspects of program operations. His experience at the collegiate level also included recruiting coordination, match preparation, and fostering a competitive and growth-oriented team environment.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Tackett has an extensive background in youth development across the Lehigh Valley. He has coached with organizations such as Lehigh Valley United, Bethlehem Bulldogs, and Central Mountain Middle School, where he emphasized skill development, leadership, and a passion for the game. Most recently, he served as Director of Coaching for Perfect Touch Soccer from 2025–26, overseeing program development and mentoring young players and coaches.
A former standout student-athlete, Tackett enjoyed a decorated playing career that included First Team All-PSAC honors, United Soccer Coaches All-Region recognition, and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021. He was also a multiple-time All-Conference selection and earned First Team All-State honors during his high school career at Liberty High School, where he was recognized for both his athletic performance and leadership.
Tackett earned both his bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education and his master's degree in Sport Science from Lock Haven University, graduating with a 3.6 cumulative GPA. He also served as Vice President of the university's Health & Physical Education program, demonstrating leadership beyond the field. In addition to his coaching background, Tackett has experience as a substitute teacher and holds CPR and lifeguard certifications.
