EASTON, Pa. - The Lehigh women's soccer team dropped its second league contest in a row, falling to Lafayette 1-0 on Wednesday night in Easton.

"Credit to Lafayette they defended well and capitalized on a half chance," said head coach Lauren Calabrese. "We have belief in our team and need to focus on getting a result on Sunday."

Junior Hope Flanegin led the Mountain Hawks in shots with two while freshman Mia Tuckwood contributed one.

Lafayette's Sara Oswald scored the lone goal in the 34th minute, giving the Leopards a 1-0 lead.

With just over four minutes remaining in the game, Lehigh got a corner and freshman Mia Tuckwood headed the opportunity over the crossbar. The Mountain Hawks maintained momentum on the attack but were unable to get on the board.

Sophomore goalkeeper Maggie Ousoulogjou played all 90 minutes in net allowing one goal. Lafayette's goalkeeper Lindsay Dewar recorded one save and the victory.

Lehigh (3-3-3, 0-2 PL) will be back in action at 2 p.m. on Sunday versus Boston University at the Ulrich Sports Complex.
