BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's soccer team tied Boston University 2-2 on a rainy Sunday afternoon at Ulrich Sports Complex.

"It's always positive to score goals and get points in the Patriot League," said head coach Lauren Calabrese. "We need to be more disciplined in our game management, especially when we are up by two goals."

Senior Ava Schaller and Junior Hope Flanegin scored for the Mountain Hawks.

The first half was a midfield battle between the teams, with Lehigh having a 3-2 shot advantage at intermission.

In the 59th minute, Schaller dribbled the ball to the end line and put it in the far corner of the net to give Lehigh a 1-0 lead.

The Mountain Hawks maintained momentum after Schaller's goal, striking again about five minutes later.

In the 64th minute, junior Corinne Lyght crossed the ball into the box, making contact with a header from sophomore Sophia Lis. Flanegin got on the end of the header at the far post to give Lehigh a 2-0 lead with over 20 minutes left in the game.

Boston University got on the board in the 81st minute, as Natalie Godoy scored off an assist from Kat Slott.

The Terriers gained momentum with the goal, drawing a penalty just two minutes later. Giulianna Gianino netted the penalty opportunity to even the score 2-2 with under eight minutes left in the game.

Lehigh fired four shots in the final minutes but was unable to score, solidifying the 2-2 draw.

Junior goalkeeper Maggie Ousoulogjou played all 90 minutes in net, recording two saves. Boston University's Celia Braun made three saves.
