PHOENIX, Md. – A tight battle is shaping up at the Patriot League Championship. Slightly improved weather led to lower scores in Saturday's second round at Hillendale Country Club with the Mountain Hawks shooting three over par 291 as a team. Lehigh sits in second place at 598 (307-291) and trails Colgate by just one stroke entering Sunday's final round.

The Raiders trailed Lehigh by one stroke after Friday's first round and shot 289 Saturday to move into first place. Holy Cross sits in third place at 6:07.

Senior Daniel Song is leading the way individually for the Mountain Hawks. He shot two under par 70 and holds the 36-hole individual lead at two over par 146 (76-70). Song made five birdies Saturday including four of his final six holes, and leads Army's John Heckel Jr. by one stroke.

Sophomore Aidan Oehrle and junior Edmund Broderick both finished round two in a tie for eighth place at six over par 150. Both Lehigh players followed opening rounds of 76 with second round 74s. Oehrle made four birdies and started strong with birdies in three of his first four holes. Broderick made three birdies and made an eagle on the par 5 18th to get back to six over par for the championship.

Senior David Hurly made a 13-stroke improvement from round one to round two, shooting one over par 73 to move up to a tie for 30th place at 159 (86-73). Hurly made 16 pars plus a double bogey on No. 11 and a birdie on 13.

Senior Sam Barton is tied for 37th place at 161 (81-80). Barton shook off a tough start to shoot even par 36 on his last nine holes.

First-year Jake Roth is tied for 45th place at 163 (79-84). Roth made two birdies in his second round.

The threat of inclement weather has forced changes to Sunday's final round schedule. Play will now begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start with Lehigh playing alongside Colgate in twosomes beginning at the first through fourth holes.
