Knecht Cup Next Up For Men's Rowing

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's rowing team will be on the water for the third consecutive weekend. The Mountain Hawks will be competing at the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J. Lehigh will enter two varsity eight boats, with the first varsity eight's first race set for 10:34 a.m. and the second varsity eight to begin competition at 1:12 p.m.

Semifinal heats for the first varsity eight will begin around 3:15 p.m. Saturday with grand and petite finals set for Sunday.

Lehigh continues to receive votes in the American Collegiate Rowing Association (ACRA) poll. The Mountain Hawks tied for 10th place in last week's initial poll and the varsity eight is now second among others receiving votes.

Last weekend the first varsity eighth finished fifth in the grand final at the Murphy Cup, hosted by Temple on the Schuylkill River.
