Mountain Hawks Win Gold In 1V4+ At MARC Championships

MERCER, N.J. – Lehigh men's rowing wrapped up their season on Sunday from the MARC Championships in New Jersey. A solid day of rowing for the Mountain Hawks was highlighted by a gold medal in first varsity four+ final.
The day began for the Mountain Hawks with the initial heat race for the first varsity eight+ in which the top three teams advance to the grand final. Lehigh took second with a time of 6:27.925 to advance to the grand final.
The Lehigh second varsity four+ took second in their final, crossing the finish line in 7:33.664.
Next up was the first varsity four+ final, which saw the Mountain Hawks come out on top. Lehigh won the gold medal with a time of 7:10.336, besting Bucknell by a little over a second.
Lehigh's second varsity eight+ earned a third-place finish in their final, clocking in with a time of 6:27.257.
The final race of the day for Lehigh was the first varsity eight+ grand final. Lehigh earned a bronze medal, taking third with a time of 6:14.238.
The Mountain Hawks now set their sights on the offseason.
