The first varsity eight then competed in the club eights race against 41 other boats that saw Lehigh place 24th at 18:16.821.
Lehigh's lone race on Sunday was the men's collegiate eights race that featured a total of 38 boats. The Mountain Hawks placed 29th with a time of 15:18.132.

What They Said
"I had so much fun racing and being at the Charles this weekend," said junior Victoria Bazarko. "It's amazing to see how many teams can come together for one race, it makes everything super energetic. It's such an awesome experience and I'm so grateful I got to be a part of it!"
"Racing at the Head of the Charles this year felt surreal," said sophomore Seeley Mazur. "The race this weekend was one of the best races of my life mostly because of the incredible energy of my team, our supporters, and the intense trust and bond we have within the eight. I am so proud of my boat and the work we've put in throughout this season, and I can't wait to see what we do at the Head of the Schuylkill next weekend."
"As a senior, I think what struck me the most about this weekend is seeing how much the program has grown in the last few years," said senior Hannah Vogel. "I can't even imagine us having put together three boats across the program with the athletic ability and maturity to show up in an environment like the Head of the Charles and do what we needed to do. It's truly something you can't imagine unless you've been there and seen the thousands of boats and athletes coming from all different backgrounds – high schoolers to Olympians to 80-year-old women making history – and to have been a part of that is something that brings a sense of pride to a program that can't be replicated."
"Today was a tough effort for our team on the Charles," said senior John Deutch. "We were excited to get another chance in Boston after last year's race, but found ourselves back in the same situation, colliding with another crew in nearly the same spot as last year that interrupted our rhythm and dropped our position on the results sheet to a frustrating 29th. As a senior and captain, it's disappointing to return to campus with this result in my final year, as I wanted to set a strong precedent for next year's squad. That being said, we will aim to bounce back next week in Philly across the program and close the fall season out strongly. We are a resilient group and I'm confident strong results are coming soon."
"I'm very grateful for the uplifting culture of the team and the thoughtful guidance of Coach Berger," said first-year Alex Ochoa. "While the final result today at the Head of the Charles may have been disappointing, I know we put up a good fight and raced it well. I'm proud of what we've been able to achieve so far this fall and look forward to the winter and spring seasons."
