Lehigh Races Against Colgate In Hamilton

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Lehigh women's rowing traveled north to take on Colgate on Saturday morning in their final race before the Patriot League Championships later this month. The Mountain Hawks raced against their Patriot League foe in first and second varsity eight and first and second varsity four races.

The first race of the day between Lehigh and Colgate was between the two schools' first varsity eight boats. The Raiders finished ahead of the Mountain Hawks 6:38.35 to 6:51.55. However, Lehigh responded with a victory over Colgate in the second varsity eight race 6:52.83 to 7:04.10.

Next up was the first varsity four race which saw the Mountain Hawks best the Raiders 7:47.18 to 8:00.60. The final race of the day featured Lehigh's second varsity four and Colgate's second and third varsity four boats. The Colgate 2V8+ took first at 7:40.39, Lehigh came in second at 8:05.50 while the Colgate 3V8+ finished a 8:07.35.

The Mountain Hawks will compete at the Patriot League Championships on Friday, May 15 in Pennsauken, N.J.
