Lehigh Searching for Fourth Straight Win

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's basketball team will look to capture the series sweep against Bucknell on Wednesday for the first time since the 2011 season when the Mountain Hawks take on the Bison at Sojka Pavilion at 6 p.m.
Lehigh is on a three-game winning streak and is in second place with a 14-12 overall record (10-5 PL). Bucknell is in fifth place in the league at 12-14 (8-7).
Frannie Hottinger was named a Patriot League honorable mention after averaging 16 points and 10.5 rebounds last week. Hottinger has had one of the best seasons in program history. The senior is just seven points away from tying the single-season scoring record at Lehigh. Jessica DePalo currently holds the single season scoring record (549 points).
In the first meeting of the season, the Lehigh women's basketball team came from behind and won 64-51 after Bucknell took an early 15-6 lead. Three Mountain Hawks finished in double-figures against the Bison. Frannie Hottinger scored a game-high 22 points, Mackenzie Kramer tallied 14 points, and Ella Stemmer followed that up with 13 of her own points.
The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 64-49 win vs. American. Four players finished in double-figures for Lehigh. Jamie Behar and Hottinger both had 17, Kramer had 14, and Anna Harvey had 13 points.
Before falling to Boston University on Saturday, Bucknell had won six straight games. Bucknell's leading scorer Cecelia Collins missed the first game with an injury. She is averaging 13.8 points per game.
Lehigh is 45-51 all-time against Bucknell. The last time Lehigh won at Bucknell was on March. 11. 2021 when the Mountain Hawks defeated the Bison in the Patriot League Semifinals. The two schools are no strangers. They played four times in 2021, three times last year and once this year. Tomorrow's game will mark the ninth meeting in the last three seasons.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
