The Mountain Hawks hit 13 Threes in 76-61 Win Over Boston U.

BOSTON - The Lehigh Mountain Hawks defeated the Terriers of Boston University 76-61 Saturday afternoon. In the win, Lehigh knocked down 13 3-pointers, one shy of its season high of 14, which it has reached twice this year. The 13 made 3s came on 28 attempts, good for just over 46%.
With the win, Lehigh has won five of its last six and improves to 11-5 in Patriot League play and 15-11 overall. Boston University falls to 9-18 overall and 5-11 in league play.
The Mountain Hawks had four players score in double figures in the win. Lily Fandre led the way with 22 points, knocking down 4-of-6 from 3-point range. It marked the 11th time this season Fandre has scored 20 or more points. First-year Alana Reddy added a career-high 18 points, shooting an efficient 6-of-9 from the field and 5-of-7 from 3-point range. Belle Bramer scored 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting, while Whitney Lind chipped in 14.
Lehigh got off to a hot start. Lily Fandre hit a 3-pointer and converted a pair of layups, scoring nine points in the period. Gracyn Lovette, who finished with eight assists in the win, added seven points in the opening quarter to help Lehigh take a 17-10 lead into the second.
Eight points from Bramer, along with a pair of buckets from Fandre and strong defense, allowed the Mountain Hawks to control the second quarter and take a 37-25 lead into the locker room.
The third quarter belonged entirely to the Mountain Hawks, who poured in 26 points and extended their lead to more than 20 heading into the fourth. Katie Hurt, Alana Reddy, Lily Fandre, and Whitney Lind each hit 3-pointers in the period, with Fandre and Reddy draining two apiece.
Lehigh held off the Terriers in the final quarter to secure a 76-61 win. Anete Adler led Boston University with a game-high 24 points, scoring 10 in the second half to help narrow the final margin to 15.

Lehigh will return to action Saturday, Feb. 28, when the Mountain Hawks travel to face Bucknell at 2 p.m.
