Bucknell Defeats Lehigh in Lewisburg

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Saturday afternoon, the Bucknell Bison defeated the Lehigh Mountain Hawks 57-45. With the loss, Lehigh fell to 11-6 in Patriot League play and 15-12 overall. With the win, Bucknell improved to 7-10 in the league and 11-17 overall.
Lily Fandre led the way for Lehigh with 17 points, hitting three 3-pointers. Belle Bramer added 10 points, going 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.
The Bison showcased a balanced offensive effort, with eight players scoring and the team hitting 40% of its 3-pointers. Tuana Coskun and Ella Kreuzer led the way with 12 points apiece in the win.
The Mountain Hawks built an early lead, as Fandre scored seven points in the first quarter to help Lehigh take a 15-13 advantage after one period.
A 7-0 Lehigh run in the second quarter, fueled by Fandre and Gracyn Lovette, gave the Mountain Hawks an eight-point lead with seven minutes remaining in the period. Bucknell closed the half strong, outscoring Lehigh by eight over the remainder of the quarter to head into the locker room tied.
Bucknell outscored Lehigh 30-18 in the second half to secure a 57-45 victory.
With Lehigh trailing by seven early in the third quarter, Alana Reddy hit a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 40-36. Bucknell closed the game on a 17-9 run to seal the 12-point win.
