Mountain Hawks Send Four to ITA Regionals

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's tennis team will send four student-athletes to the ITA Regionals, which is being held at Columbia University from Oct. 6-8.
The Mountain Hawks will have four representatives in singles matches. Anushka Dania, Megha Dania, Allyce Gaborik and Maggie Forkner will all be competing in singles. This will mark the first career ITA Regionals for Gaborik and Forkner and the second for the Danias.
Megha Dania won her first match last season, defeating Hofstra's Kaitlyn Ferguson 6-1, 6-0, but was defeated by Yessica De Lucas of St. John's 6-1, 6-0.
Lehigh will also have two doubles teams. Gaborik and Forkner will be doubles partners, and Anushka Dania and Megha Dania will be the second group of doubles.
The Danias won one doubles match last year at the ITA Regionals, taking down Anastasia Gubanova and Isabela Venter 8-2.
The ITA Regionals will be the first competition for Lehigh since Sept. 23, when the Mountain Hawks defeated Monmouth 5-2. Forkner and Megha Dania both competed in singles, and both came out with wins.
Following the ITA Regionals, the Mountain Hawks will host the Lehigh Hidden Dual in its final competition of the fall season on Oct. 21-22.
