BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's tennis team opened the spring season against Marist Saturday inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks beat Marist in the dual-meet 6-1. Lehigh won the doubles point and continued to assert its dominance throughout the match, winning five singles matches to earn a victory in its season opener for the third straight year.

Senior Zack Elliott and first-year Marc Blekhman won the first doubles match for the Mountain Hawks. Seniors Gary Fishkin and Steven Nazaroff grabbed the second doubles match for Lehigh to clinch the doubles point while juniors Matt Kleiman and Jeremy Learner won the third match to complete the sweep.

Fiskin started Lehigh off strong, winning the first singles match by a score of 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 4 flight. Sophomore Jordan Paul secured the second singles win for the Mountain Hawks. Elliott clinched the opening day win for Lehigh, winning in three sets over Dylan Friedman at the top flight.

The Mountain Hawks will host Morgan State next Saturday inside the Lewis Tennis Center with the match set for a 10 a.m. start.
