Gaffney to Make Professional Lacrosse Debut Sunday Night on National TV

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Recent Lehigh men's lacrosse graduate Conor Gaffney is set to make his professional lacrosse debut on Sunday night as he suits up for the Premier Lacrosse League's Archers against the Cannons. The game will start at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.

Gaffney will become the second Lehigh alum and third member of the Mountain Hawks' family to play in the PLL this season, joining Craig Chick '19 and assistant coach John Crawley who are both members of the Atlas.
Gaffney was selected 21st overall in April's PLL Collegiate Draft and made the Archers opening-day roster. This marks the first time Gaffney was named to the Archers' gameday roster; Stephen Kelly has taken every faceoff for the Archers over their first five games of the season.

The 2019 Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Year and an honorable mention postseason All-American by both the USILA and Inside Lacrosse, Gaffney was a preseason honorable mention All-American by Inside Lacrosse in 2020. Gaffney finished his career winning 63.5 percent of his faceoffs (686-1081) with 401 groundballs, owning the program record for faceoff wins and groundballs (the GB total is also a Patriot League mark). Gaffney backed up junior Mike Sisselbrger in 2021, who broke the NCAA Division I record for faceoff percentage (79.5).
