Women's Tennis heads down to Florida for two matches on Sunday and Monday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the first time this season, the Lehigh women's tennis team (5-4) will embark on its first road trip of the season. The destination? The Mountain Hawks will travel down to Florida and compete against the USF Bulls and St. Thomas Aquinas. 
 
The Mountain Hawks were supposed to play in three matches this week, however the scheduled contest against Wesleyan down in Florida was cancelled.
 
LAST TIME OUT 
The Brown and White had their toughest weekend of the season at the end of February, as Lehigh dropped two matches to NJIT and Buffalo. Both of those contests consisted of the Mountain Hawks falling, 6-1. 
 
ABOUT USF
The Bulls come into the match with a 4-6 record, but the Bulls have dropped their last two matches to Memphis and TCU. USF has defeated North Texas, Florida Gulf Coast, Cornell and Stetson. Amelie Boy is the top player for the Bulls, while Laura Perello and Evelyne Tiron for a solid two-three combo for South Florida.
 
ABOUT ST. THOMAS AQUINAS
 The Spartans are currently 10-5 on the season competing in NCAA Division ll. St. Thomas Aquinas' last two victories came against Kutztown and Jefferson. 
 
PREVIOUS SPRING BREAK TRIP
The Brown and White traveled down to South Carolina for two matches. Lehigh suffered a defeat to the College of Charleston, 4-3, while also falling to the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina, 4-1.
 
UP NEXT 
The Mountain Hawks will return to the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday, March 14, as Lehigh hosts Delaware for a 1:00 p.m. showdown.
