Women's Tennis looks for its fifth win of the season on Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Another weekend, another home tennis match for the Lehigh women's tennis team. The Mountain Hawks (4-2) return to the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday, as the Brown and White will play host to the Duquesne Dukes at 1:00 p.m.
With the Mountain Hawks' win over Stony Brook last Saturday, Lehigh had its best start of the season since 2005. With a win on Saturday over Duquesne, this year's Lehigh team will hit the five-win mark the quickest in the past 20 years.
LAST TIME OUT
The Mountain Hawks split a weekend of competition. Lehigh defeated Stony Brook in an exciting match 4-3, while then dropping a tough contest to Drexel, 7-0.
QUOTABLE
"This weekend was filled with great tennis and Mountain Hawk pride. The women fought from start to finish both days," said assistant coach Hannah Fleckenstein. "It was absolutely fantastic to watch. Although we did not come away with the results we wanted on Sunday, there were plenty of positives to takeaway from every single match. We look forward to our next competitor, Duquesne!"
DEPTH HELPS
One reason this team's had early success has been because of the depth. The Mountain Hawks have the talent and depth to overcome the possibility of not securing the doubles point. Lehigh, in singles play has five players with three or more wins.
ABOUT DUQUESNE
The Dukes currently have the same record as the Mountain Hawks, 4-2. Duquesne's wins came against Morgan State, George Washington and Mount St. Mary's. The Rams of VCU and Youngstown State defeated the Dukes. Laurel Shymansky and Margot Pessy are the top players for the Atlantic 10 team. Both have recorded multiple wins at the top spot. Meredith Lee Is 2-0 in the No. 3 spot.
