BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After coming from behind and beating Stony Brook on Saturday, the Lehigh women's tennis team suffered its second loss of the season on Sunday to Drexel. The Dragons defeated the Mountain Hawks inside the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center, 7-0.

Despite the rough outing on Sunday, Lehigh managed to split the weekend matchups. The Mountain Hawks (4-2) will move on from this match and look ahead to their future schedule.

The Dragons came into Bethlehem ready to roll on Sunday, as the Dragons managed to win all nine bouts that took place.

Starting in doubles, Drexel obtained the doubles point with ease, winning all three matches. The Brown and White kept it close in those matches though. The No.1 spot of Sibel Can and Paula Gonzalez battled to a tough defeat, 6-4. Then in the No. 2 spot, Junmoke James and Ella Imhof fought to a 6-3 defeat against their opponents.

After falling in doubles, Lehigh felt they could come back and overcome its opponent like Saturday. Drexel had different plans, as the Dragons came into singles play and dominated. The Mountain Hawks dropped all six matches in straight sets.

Up next, Lehigh will host Duquense next Saturday at 1:00 p.m. inside the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center.
