
Brown and White win all nine matches and defeat Siena

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's tennis team continued its hot start to the season with a 7-0 win over Siena on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks (2-0) are now off to their best start since the 2015-16 season.
For the second consecutive match, Lehigh obtained the doubles point in thanks to two close matches. The top two teams showed their grit and found a way to close out wins. Harry Wang and Zack Elliott defeated the Siena tandem, 7-5, while the No. 2 team of Jacob Edelchik and Gary Fishkin also won 7-5. For the first time competing in doubles this spring, the pair of Andrew Nakhajavan and Steven Nazaroff won against their opponents, 6-3.
In singles, Lehigh continued to excel in that area. The top four men won their matches in straight sets. The one-two punch of Elliott and Wang easily won their matches against the Saint. Elliott won 6-3, 6-2, while Wang flourished with a 6-1, 6-4 win. Freshman Matt Kleiman won his second match of the season in the No. 4 spot, 6-2, 6-3. In the No. 6 spot, Jack Martin Dyer secured another win over his opponent, 8-3.
Up next, the Mountain Hawks will look to ride their momentum into next Saturday when Drexel comes in to the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks and Dragons will battle at 11:00 a.m.
