BETHLEHEM Pa. – Coming off a tough defeat vs. Boston University, the Lehigh women's lacrosse team will return to action this Saturday at No. 11 Loyola. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. on the Patriot League Network. The Mountain Hawks have a tough start to league play, playing an always-strong Boston University team before facing ranked opponents Loyola and No. 14 Navy (next Wednesday).

Last time out, the Mountain Hawks dropped a 16-8 final to the Terriers. In their league opener, they led 6-4 with five minutes left in the first half, but the Terriers went on a 3-0 run to close it out and then extended their run to 8-0 at the beginning of the second.

Juniors Autumn Ryan and Sondra Dickey both posted hat tricks against BU to lead the offense. Dickey scored her 100th career goal in the defeat, recording her fifth hat trick of the season and 20th of her career. Senior Mary Ellen Carron and junior Alexandra Ladda each caused two turnovers defensively. After three straight one-goal games between Lehigh and Boston University (2015 through 2017), each of the last two have been decided seven or more goals. Last year, Lehigh won in Boston 15-8 before the Terriers' win this season. Since Boston University joined the Patriot League in 2014, the first six meetings between the sides were decided by five goals or less.

Loyola is in the midst of a strong season, with wins over No. 25 Townson, No. 8 Penn State, No. 5 Florida and its most recent victory, No. 22 Georgetown. The Georgetown win was a tight 13-10 victory. The game before, the Greyhounds handled Army's Black Nights 22-7 in the league opener. Seven Loyola players own double-figure points, led by Livy Rosenzweig who leads the Greyhounds in goals (20), assists (18) and points (38). Hannah Powers isn't far behind with 19 goals and 12 assists for 31 points. Lindsey Ehrhardt leads the defense in caused turnovers (16) while Sam Fiedler owns a team-leading 20 groundballs and Taylor VanThof leads the way in draw controls (35). Kady Glynn has started all eight games in goal, tallying a 10.64 GAA and 0.513 save percentage.

Loyola leads the all-time series, 11-5. The Greyhounds have won nine straight, including all six meetings since they joined the Patriot League. Lehigh's last win in the series came in 1988 by an 11-5 final.

After Loyola, Lehigh will return home to face No. 14 Navy at the Ulrich Sports Complex on Wednesday, Mar. 27 at 5 p.m.
