Lehigh Women Open Final Weekend with Loss at Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Mountain Hawks began their weekend stint in West Point, N.Y. with a 5-2 setback to Army on Friday afternoon. The Black Knights improve to 17-6 overall and 5-1 in the Patriot League. Lehigh falls to 10-8 overall and 4-2 in league play.
Sibel Can recorded one of Lehigh's two victories on the day with a three-set victory over Genevieve McCormick at the third flight. The Lehigh sophomore clinched her 10th victory for the second year in a row as she improves to 10-7 overall and 4-1 in league play.
Casey Zhong clinched Lehigh's other victory on the day as she defeated Alana Larcombe in straight-sets at the sixth flight. The LU freshman evened up her singles record at 9-9 on the season with a mark of 4-2 in league play.
The Mountain Hawks closeout their regular season slate on Saturday with a Patriot League dual match against Boston U in West Point, N.Y.
