Lehigh Men Edged by Colgate in Saturday Home Dual

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Mountain Hawks returned to Patriot League play on Saturday as they fell, 4-3, to Colgate at the Ulrich Courts. Lehigh is now 7-6 on the season, including a mark of 1-1 in league play. The Raiders extended their win streak to six-straight as they are 11-4 overall and 2-0 in the Patriot League.
The Raiders earned the crucial doubles point to begin the match as they took out of three from Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks managed to win at the top flight as Jacob Edelchik and Harry Wang defeated Jacob Dougherty and Scott Bickel, 6-4, for their first win of the season.
Edelchik also scored a victory in singles play as he edged Noah Rosenblat in straight-sets at the third flight. The freshman has now won two-straight as he improves to 5-6 on the season.
Christopher Auteri kept his impressive winning streak in tact with a convincing two-set victory over Alec Dardis at the fourth flight. The junior is now 11-0 on the season.
Bryant Born recorded Lehigh's third singles win of the day with two-set victory over Jack Ablon at the sixth flight. Born snapped a four-match skid to improve to 6-5 overall.
The Mountain Hawks face another tough opponent next Saturday as they travel to Patriot League foe Navy.
