Mountain Hawks Sweep Singles To Defeat Lafayette 4-1

EASTON, Pa. – Fresh off of two Patriot League wins this past weekend, Lehigh men's tennis looked to continue their momentum on the road on Wednesday afternoon against rival Lafayette College. The Mountain Hawks dropped the opening doubles point but swept singles play to win 4-1.
Lehigh (11-8, 5-1 PL) faced a setback to begin the match, losing the doubles point to Lafayette (5-14, 2-5 PL). Rafael Gracie and Ofer Hacohen were blanked 6-0 at number three while Marc Blekhman and Sean Jaeger fell 6-4 in their match at number one. Jose Murariu and Luke Donovan's match at number two was left unfinished.
After falling down 1-0 in the match, the Mountain Hawks began to take care of business in singles competition. Jackson Morash got things started for Lehigh with a 6-3, 6-1 win at number five. Jaeger was next, defeating Darrin Lerner 6-3, 6-1 at number three. Blekhman collected win number 101 for his career at number two, defeating Nicolas McKenzie 6-3, 6-1. Hacohen's two-set victory at number four sealed the win for the Mountain Hawks.
The Mountain Hawks will conclude the regular season at home on Saturday, April 12 in a doubleheader against Bucknell and Holy Cross. Lehigh will face the Bison at 9 a.m. and the Crusaders at 4 p.m.
