Auteri Records Tenth-Straight Victory as Lehigh Defeats La Salle

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh bounced back from a Saturday loss with a convincing 6-1 win over La Salle on Sunday inside Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks improve to 7-5 on the season, while the Explorers fall to 3-11.
Christopher Auteri headlined the day as he won his tenth-straight singles match of the season to improve to 10-0 on the season. He bumped a spot in the lineup for the second-straight match and scored a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the third flight for Lehigh's first singles win of the day.
Jack Petersen also improved his win streak with his straight-set victory at the second flight. The senior is 5-7 overall and is currently riding a three-match win streak.
Sam Bencheghib capped off the day with a three-set victory at the sixth flight. Bencheghib rallied from behind to clinch his first victory of the season.
The Mountain Hawks return to action and resume Patriot League play as they host Colgate on Saturday at 2 p.m.
