
Lehigh Falls to Temple to Open Weekend Home Stand

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Mountain Hawks suffered a tough 4-2 loss at home to Temple Saturday inside Lewis Tennis Center. Lehigh is now 6-5 on the season, while Temple improves to 7-4.
The Owls took an early lead by winning the doubles point with a narrow 7-6 victory at the third flight. Lehigh managed to score a convincing 6-2 victory at the second flight courtesy of Jack Petersen and Bryant Born. The duo is now 6-4 overall and winners of their last two matches.
Christopher Auteri highlighted Lehigh's day as the junior improved to 9-0 on the year. Auteri bumped up to the fourth flight for the first time this season and surrendered only one point in the final two sets of a three-set victory over Michael Haelen.
Petersen capped his day with a combined 2-0 record as he scored a victory over Eric Biscoveanu at the third flight. After winning the first set, 6-2, Petersen received credit for the win as Biscoveanu retired from the match. The Lehigh senior is now 4-7 on the season and has won his last two straight.
The Mountain Hawks will return to action on Sunday as they host La Salle at 2 p.m.
