BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Riding a season-high three-game winning streak, the Lehigh women's lacrosse team looks to carry the momentum into its Patriot League opener as the Mountain Hawks travel to Boston University for a Saturday afternoon matchup. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. on the Patriot League Network. Lehigh is coming off consecutive one-goal victories, most recently winning at Fairfield 12-11 on Sunday.

The Mountain Hawks trailed Sunday's game 4-0 just 5:06 into the game, but they regrouped in a big way, scoring the next four goals to pull even midway through the first half. From there, neither team led by more than two goals. Lehigh used a 3-0 run, bridging the end of the first half and beginning of the second, to take an 8-7 lead. After the Stags pulled even at eight, Lehigh scored three of the next four goals and four of the next six to take a 12-10 advantage. Fairfield scored with 11 seconds remaining, but sophomore Sondra Dickey corralled the ensuing draw to help wrap up the 12-11 victory. In the process, Lehigh snapped a five-game losing streak against the Stags.

For the second straight game, senior Kierstyn Voiro scored what proved to be the game-winning goal. She tallied the triple overtime game-winner at Mount St. Mary's Friday before scoring Lehigh's 12th goal with 1:33 to go on Sunday. She also recorded a game-high three caused turnovers Sunday while adding three groundballs and two draw controls. Senior Kayleen Kelly led Lehigh with five draw controls while Dickey added four. For the season, Kelly owns 38 while Dickey has 36; both are easily on pace to break the Lehigh single-season record of 47 held by Carli Sukonik in 2012.

Four Mountain Hawks recorded multiple goals, led by three from junior Kellie Gough. It marked Gough's third hat trick of the season and sixth multi-goal game. Freshman goalkeeper Samantha Sagi reached double-figure saves for the third time this season, making 10 stops.

Boston University is 2-3 on the season with its most recent game also coming at Fairfield, an 11-10 double overtime win on Wednesday. The Terriers have played a tough schedule, falling to No. 4/6 Boston College 18-6, No. 14/16 Duke 21-13 and Johns Hopkins 18-11 while also beating UMass-Lowell 14-10. Kailey Conry leads the offense in assists (15) and points (25) while Avery Donahoe owns a team-leading 14 goals. Maria Guerra leads the team with 14 groundballs while standing tied for the lead in caused turnovers (7). Kaitlin Belval leads the way with 16 draw controls. A pair of Terriers have split time in goal; Christine Laible has recorded a 15.97 goals against average and 41.2 save percentage in 187:52 while Bianca Smith owns a 13.64 GAA and 41.3 save percentage in 118:45.

The Mountain Hawks have won two straight Patriot League openers (both against Holy Cross) and three of their last four overall. Saturday marks the first time Lehigh and Boston University will square off in a league opener.

Lehigh has won two straight against Boston University, each thrilling one-goal victories to pull within 4-3 in the all-time series. Last year, the Mountain Hawks used a late 6-0 run to take a 13-10, on the way to the 13-12 victory. The last time Lehigh played in Boston, the Mountain Hawks picked up a last-second 8-7 win as Lauren Beausoleil scored the game-winner with just five seconds remaining. The first meeting between the two teams was in 1999 - a 17-9 BU win. Since, the teams have played at least once a year after BU entered the Patriot League in 2014.
