
Lehigh football adds 12 in early signing period

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh football program has announced the addition of 12 student-athletes who have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Mountain Hawks next fall as part of the NCAA's early signing period for football.
UPDATE: Lehigh announced 11 signees on Wednesday, with a 12th member added to the class Thursday morning.

The first signees of Lehigh's football Class of 2023 cover all position groups, with six offensive players, five defensive players and a specialist. Five states are represented among the early signees, with Pennsylvania represented by four student-athletes, Georgia by three student-athletes and New Jersey and North Carolina both represented by two. The Mountain Hawks also have one signee from Texas. Lehigh coaches once again had success in the southeast after bringing in two North Carolina products and two Georgia products in last year's recruiting class.
By position, the six offensive signees include one quarterback, one running back, two wide receivers, one tight end and one offensive lineman. Defensively, the Mountain Hawks welcome three linemen, one tackle and two projected ends, an outside linebacker, and one defensive back. Lehigh also added one kicker/punter in its incoming class.
The 12-time Patriot League champion Mountain Hawks recently won back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017 and finished their 2018 campaign with two wins in their final three games, including a 34-3 win at Lafayette in the regular season finale.
