Mountain Hawks wrap up Head of the Charles with strong effort from Men’s Fours

BOSTON – Lehigh rowing finished its stint at the 2018 Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday with its crew placing 10th out of 40 crews in the Men's Collegiate Fours. The effort saw the Mountain Hawks finish in the top half of the field to guarantee an entry into next year's Head of the Charles.

"The men had a great race," said Lehigh head coach Brian Conley. "Really challenging conditions and they handled them very well. We definitely would have liked to finish higher as always, but it's a really tough set of competition and I think overall, we showed we're making the progress we want to see."

Lehigh's final time was 19:22.122 in a race which saw Georgia Tech come in first at 18:17.412.

Lehigh men's and women's rowing wraps up its fall schedule next Saturday (Oct. 27) for Class Day on the Lehigh River in Allentown, Pa.
