COOPER RIVER, N.J. – Lehigh men's and women's rowing traveled east on Saturday and Sunday to compete at the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River in New Jersey. The Mountain Hawks competed against over 60 teams across two days in first varsity eight, second varsity eight, first varsity four, and second varsity four races.
"Exciting performances across the program and it's great to see meaningful steps forward from last week," said Steven J. '69 & Karen A. Lee head coach Peter Costas. "It was especially promising to see lineups apply adjustments throughout the progression of racing at this regatta."

Quotes
"Knecht Cup was a great experience for our boat. We saw varying conditions and tough competition. Regardless, we used this as an opportunity to push ourselves and see what we could do. We're looking forward to the upcoming races and exited to see what we can put together." — Ryan Miller '27
"Knecht Cup was a valuable learning experience and gave us momentum heading into our final two races of the season, including the MARC Championship. With each race rep, especially over this past weekend, our lineup has been able to focus on specific weaknesses that we need to improve upon. Overall, I think we're in a strong position to showcase all the hard work and effort we have put in throughout the rest of the season." — Luke Blum '27
"We kicked off the weekend with a solid race rep against a tough field and capped it off with a strong race in Sunday's petite final. Despite some challenging wind conditions on both days, the boat felt steady as we adjusted our rhythm after Saturday's first piece. We're excited to keep this momentum going over the next couple weeks and finish the season strong." — William Snider '26
