Lehigh Men Close Regular Season with Setback to Villanova

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh closed out its regular season slate with a 6-1 setback in a non-league match at home against Villanova on Tuesday.
The Mountain Hawks will head into the Patriot League Tournament with an overall record of 7-13. The Wildcats now sit at 11-9 this season with a few matches left to play.
Colin Nardella and Ethan Bogard captured Lehigh's lone doubles win on the day with a 7-6(4) decision against Stefan Suarez and Mike Czlonka at the second flight. LU's senior pairing finishes the regular season with a 7-12 record after playing every doubles match together.
Jack Petersen battled through a three-setter to ultimately prevail victorious over Luis Miranda while playing in just his second match this season at the top flight. Petersen finishes the regular season with consecutive wins to finish 8-12.
Lehigh has garnered the third seed heading into the Patriot League Tournament. The Mountain Hawks will square off against Bucknell in a first round matchup on Friday in Annapolis, Md.
