BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off a 14-13 overtime loss to first-place Loyola on Saturday, the Lehigh's women's lacrosse team will look to regroup when the Mountain Hawks host archrival Lafayette on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Ulrich Sports Complex. Lehigh enters the game with a 10-3 overall record and 4-2 mark in the Patriot League, and has a chance to clinch its third straight league tournament berth before Wednesday night is complete. There will be a special mid-line shot contest at halftime with a chance of winning 250 dollars. Fans can enter by checking into the game with the Mountain Hawk Rewards App.

The Mountain Hawks would clinch a postseason spot on Wednesday with a win and Holy Cross loss to Boston University. Lehigh still has two games remaining after the Lafayette matchup, at Colgate on Saturday and home vs. Bucknell next Friday.

Lehigh scored the final five goals of regulation Saturday to tie the score, but the Greyhounds pulled out the win by scoring just over one minute into the overtime period. Prior to Saturday, Loyola's lowest margin of victory against a Patriot League team since joining the league in 2014 was three goals as the Mountain Hawks were close to handing the Greyhounds their first ever league defeat.

Leading the Mountain Hawks' offense was junior attacker Allison LaBeau, who tallied six goals and seven points on just seven shots. The six goals tied a career high as she reached exactly 100 in her career, earning Patriot League Attacker of the Week for her efforts. Junior Lauren Beausoleil was also strong, scoring two goals and adding an assist, three groundballs and two draw controls. Classmate Julianne D'Orazio tied a career-high seven draw controls while scoring the game-tying goal with just 33 seconds remaining in regulation.

LaBeau is now up to a Patriot League leading 64 points on the season behind 37 goals and 27 assists. Second on the Mountain Hawks in points is sophomore Haley Wentzel with 31 (20 goals, 11 assists).

Lafayette comes in 6-8 overall and 2-4 in league play following a 13-5 victory at Holy Cross last weekend, its second win in its last three contests. The Leopards' offense is led by Kirsten Wilhelmsen, whose 49 goals and eight assists both rank first on the team. Emma Novick is second on the squad in goals (33) and points (36) while Carlianne McCabe owns 19 goals and 20 points. Charlotte Rath leads the Leopards with 33 groundballs, Amelia Heisler owns a team-leading 15 caused turnovers and Wilhelmsen leads the team with 33 draw controls. Anna Raymond has started 12 of the 14 games in goal, tallying an 11.08 GAA and .396 save percentage.

The Mountain Hawks won their last matchup with the Leopards last season by a score of 15-6. Beausoleil tallied a game-high four goals while LaBeau added a hat trick. Lehigh now leads the all-time series with Lafayette, 25-21. The sides first met in 1975, a 5-1 Lehigh win. Lehigh went on to win 13 of the first 17 meetings before the Leopards responded with seven straight victories.

After Wednesday's game, the Mountain Hawks will head to Colgate on Saturday for a 1 p.m. opening draw.
