
Lehigh heads to archrival Lafayette Wednesday

Lehigh-Lafayette Rivalry
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team will look to pick up its first Patriot League road win when the Mountain Hawks travel to Easton, Pa. for a contest against rival Lafayette Wednesday. The match is slated for a 3:30 p.m. first serve at Sullivan Courts.
Lehigh enters Wednesday's battle with a 6-5 overall record and 1-1 mark in Patriot League play. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 4-3 defeat at Navy Saturday in the team's most recent action. Lehigh picked up a 6-1 win over Loyola in its other Patriot League match on March 20.
Sophomore Briana Maravich leads the Mountain Hawks with a 9-2 singles record, including a 2-0 mark in Patriot League action. Sophomore Christina Auyeung and freshman Grace Lin are 7-3 in singles play, while junior Cassidy Cruz has gone 2-0 in league matches. The duo of Auyeung and junior Jamie Campisi have gone 7-4 at the top flight of doubles this season.
The Leopards have also split their first two Patriot League matches while tallying a 2-6 overall record. Lafayette defeated Holy Cross 4-3 to pick up its first Patriot League win of the year Saturday after falling to Army 7-0 in the Leopards' league opener. Caroline Nixon, Catherine Senopoulos, and Ally Simels all picked up singles victories against the Crusaders.
The Mountain Hawks will return home on Saturday to continue Patriot League play against Colgate at 10 a.m.
