
Lehigh faces first road test at Navy Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team will hit the road for the first time this spring when the Mountain Hawks travel to Navy Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Mountain Hawks carry a 6-4 record, including a 1-0 mark in Patriot League play, into Saturday's match at Navy. Lehigh is coming off a 6-1 win over Loyola last Sunday in the team's league opener. Sophomore Christina Auyeung has gone 7-2 at No. 1 singles and 7-3 at the top flight of doubles, playing alongside junior Jamie Campisi, to lead the Mountain Hawks this season. Sophomores Briana Maravich and Kirstin Godau are 8-2 and 7-1 in singles action, respectively.
Navy is 14-8 overall and 0-1 in Patriot League action as the Mids dropped their league opener to defending champ Boston University 7-0 on Jan. 31. Navy is coming off a 5-2 loss at George Washington in its most recent action Tuesday after having gone 2-2 on the Mids' Spring Break trip to Puerto Rico. Josie Rogers has gone 19-5 in singles action to lead the Mids, while Amanda Keller follows with 18 wins. Five different Navy players have secured a team-best 11 doubles victories.
Lehigh and Navy met in last year's Patriot League Semifinals as the Mids punched their ticket to the championship match with a 4-1 victory. Navy earned a 5-2 win in last year's regular-season meeting. Campisi picked up Lehigh's lone point in the semifinal loss, while Auyeung earned a singles victory in the regular-season meeting.
Following Saturday's match at Navy, Lehigh will remain on the road to face rival Lafayette Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
