Lehigh predicted to finish fourth in Patriot League preseason poll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team has been picked to finish fourth in the Patriot League, as announced by the league's preseason poll Thursday afternoon. The poll is voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
The Mountain Hawks garnered 77 points in the poll. Defending champion Boston University topped the poll with 128 points and 16 first-place votes. Army West Point was picked second with 111 points and two first-place votes. Navy was projected to finish third with 103 points and the Mids will host the women's Patriot League Tournament April 21-24.
Lehigh, who finished the 2015 spring season with a 12-9 overall record, advanced to the Patriot League semifinals for the first time since 2009 when the Mountain Hawks defeated Loyola 4-0 in the quarterfinals a season ago. The Mountain Hawks fell 4-1 to Navy in the semifinals.
Lehigh will be led by reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year and first team All-League sophomore Christina Auyeung. The junior class of Jamie Campisi, Cassidy Cruz, Jessica Graham and Nina Larraza will be depended upon to lead the roster of four sophomores and one freshman.
The Mountain Hawks open the 2016 spring season against Delaware on Feb. 3 at the Lewis Tennis Center.
