D'Alberto to be inducted into Lehigh Valley Golf Hall of Fame in October

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head men's golf coach Henry D'Alberto '97 has been elected to the elected to the Lehigh Valley Golf Hall of Fame, it was announced Tuesday. D'Alberto recently completed his ninth season as Lehigh's head coach.
A graduate of Notre Dame-Green Pond High School, D'Alberto went on to play for legendary coach Kelly Gutshall at Lehigh earning four consecutive All-Patriot League honors. In the fall of 1996, D'Alberto won the Patriot League individual championship and was named Player of the Year as the Mountain Hawks won their first of back-to-back Patriot League team titles.
As an amateur player, D'Alberto qualified for four USGA championships including three U.S. Amateur Championships.
After graduating from Lehigh with a degree in finance, D'Alberto relocated to Florida to pursue a professional career. While in Florida, he played on the Golden Bear Tour. He moved back north in 2003 to play on the New England Golf Pro Tour and advanced to the second stage of the 2003 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament where he recorded at 65, which was his lowest round of golf in his professional career. He played in the 2004 US Open Section Qualifier and had his best tournament finish at the 2005 Cleveland Golf Tour Event where tied for sixth with a score of 208 (72-68-68). Throughout his professional career, D'Alberto made numerous cuts on various tours.
D'Alberto returned to the Lehigh Valley to work as a financial adviser and was named Lehigh's head coach in 2006. His Lehigh teams have finished in the top three at the Patriot League Championship on four occasions, highlighted by the 2013 squad, which won the program's first Patriot League Championship since 1997 and played in the NCAA Regionals for the first time in school history.
For leading Lehigh to the Patriot League title on its home course at Saucon Valley Country Club, D'Alberto was named Patriot League Coach of the Year in 2013.
Joining D'Alberto in the Hall of Fame Class of 2015 is Lisa Penske-Jensen and Eugene Grace, the 1899 Lehigh graduate for whom Grace Hall is named after. The former president and CEO of Bethlehem Steel, Grace had a hand in the development of five local golf courses including the three courses at Saucon Valley Country Club, what is now Silver Creek Country Club and Bethlehem Municipal.
D'Alberto will be formally inducted at the Lehigh Valley Golf Hall of Fame banquet Oct. 28 at Green Pond Country Club.
