Lafayette 7-Way Results | Raleigh Relays Results | Winthrop Invite Results
EASTON, Pa. – The Lehigh women's track and field team wrapped up a successful weekend at three separate meets that was highlighted by sophomore Courtney Avery's school-record tying high jump at the Winthrop Invitational. The Mountain Hawks also competed in the Raleigh Relays and Lafayette 7-Way during the busy weekend and earned the team title at the Lafayette 7-Way with 232 team points.
"I think we were really successful in three different places and we have a good feel for what we need to do going into next week's Lehigh-Lafayette dual meet," said head coach Matt Utesch. "Our kids are being tough in the cold weather and it's a hard time to be competing since spring just won't show up. I'm happy with their demeanor, seriousness and commitment to getting good results."
Sophomore Courtney Avery tied her own school record in the high jump Friday at the Winthrop Invitational with a 1.76 meter leap. The ECAC-qualifying mark earned her first place and was .11 meters higher than the second-place finisher. The jump also set a new facility record.
