WEST POINT, N.Y. – A final round 302 was good enough to move the Lehigh men's golf team into third place as the Patriot League Championship, which wrapped-up Sunday at the West Point Golf Course. Junior Carlos Kim and sophomore Harley Abrams earned second team All-Patriot League honors to lead the Mountain Hawks, who finished the two-day, 54-hole championship at 896 (293-301-392).

Kim shot one under par 69 in Sunday's final round to move into sixth place at two over par 217 (75-73-69). The 69 matched Abrams' opening round 69 as the low round for Lehigh at the championship. Abrams struggled to a final round 79 but still managed a top ten individual finish, tying for eighth at 221 (69-73-79).

Sophomore Dave Olexson provided a pleasant surprise for Lehigh, finishing in 23rd place at 230 (81-74-75). Olexson had to qualify for Lehigh's sixth and final spot earlier this week and played his way into a position where he was the Mountain Hawks' No. 3 finisher.

Also competing for the Mountain Hawks were senior Alex DiClemente, junior Zach Allinson and sophomore Johnny Heydt. Allinson was Lehigh's fourth-highest finisher, tying for 29th at 234 (72-83-79). DiClemente battled through injury to finish at 239 (77-81-81) and tie for 38th place. He finished third at last year's championship and will graduate as a one-time All-Patriot League selection. Heydt totaled a 260 (85-87-88) and finished 48th.

Patriot League newcomer Loyola led from wire to wire to capture the team championship. The Greyhounds shot 861 (287-283-291) to defeat the host Black Knights of Army by ten strokes. Lehigh vaulted over Navy for third after the Mids shot 314 on Sunday.

Army's Peter Kim was the individual champion and was named Patriot League Outstanding Golfer and Outstanding Rookie of the Year. Kim finished at one under par 209 (73-66-70) and posted a five stroke win over August Jonas of Navy. Loyola had the remaining three first team All-League finishers, while the second team consisted of two players from Army and one from Lafayette in addition to Kim and Abrams.
