
Mountain Hawks look to get back on track Saturday versus FDU

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team will host Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday inside the Lewis Tennis Center.
The Mountain Hawks look to bounce back after suffering a tough 7-0 loss against Rutgers on Tuesday. Freshman Cassidy Cruz and Jess Graham won a team-high five games at No. 3 and No. 4 singles respectively.
The loss dropped the team to 1-2 on the season.
Prior to the loss against Rutgers, the Mountain Hawks defeated Saint Francis 5-2 on Sunday. Senior Jill Sloand clinched the match victory with a straight set win at No. 6 singles. Senior Jenai Bilimoria, junior Abby Farrell, Cruz and sophomore Ali Kaminetsky also won their singles matches as Lehigh battled back after losing the doubles point.
Fairleigh Dickinson is coming off a 5-2 victory over NJIT last Saturday in their first match of the spring season. The Knights are a young team as five of the six singles players are underclassmen.
The 1-0 Knights will play against Rutgers on Friday before coming to Bethlehem Saturday to match up against the Mountain Hawks.
Lehigh and FDU last met in 2012 with the Knights claiming a 7-0 victory.
The match is set for 1 p.m. in the Lewis Tennis Center.
The Mountain Hawks match against Delaware, originally slated for Sunday, has been moved to Tuesday, March 25.
