BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Following a tough loss to Binghamton Tuesday, the Lehigh women's lacrosse team hits the road for the first time, traveling to New Hampshire to face UNH on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Mountain Hawks look to improve to 2-1 after three games for a second straight season.

After Binghamton took an early lead, the Mountain Hawks responded with five of the next six goals to take a 5-2 advantage following freshman Krista Dampan's first-career goal. However, the Bearcats scored three of the final four first-half goals, including one with nine seconds on the clock. Binghamton took that momentum into the second half, scoring the final two goals, including the game-winner with 1:34 remaining for the 10-9 final.

Freshman Allison LaBeau enjoyed a career game with three goals, one assist, a groundball and caused turnover. Junior Carli Sukonik added two goals while sophomore Kendall Garden was strong all over the field with two goals, two assists, four groundballs and four caused turnovers. Freshman Julianne D'Orazio finished with three groundballs and three caused turnovers.

New Hampshire enters the weekend with a 1-2 record, beating Hofstra while falling to Boston College and Dartmouth. The Wildcats are led offensively by Kayleigh Hinkle who has eight goals behind five goals and three assists. Laura McHoul has seven points (four goals, three assists), as does Laura Puccia (six goals, one assist). Jamie DePetris leads the team in groundballs (8) and caused turnovers (5) while Taylor Hurwitz has played every minute in goal and owns a 12.33 GAA and 43.9 save percentage.

Saturday will mark just the second-ever meeting between the Mountain Hawks and Wildcats. Lehigh won the first meeting two seasons ago, 11-8. Sukonik scored three goals in that game.

Following Saturday's game, Lehigh was scheduled to play at Fairfield on Monday, but that game has been postponed due to the expected snowstorm. As of now, no makeup date has been decided, but the game could still be played later in the week. Check back to Lehighsports.com for updates.
