BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Lehigh women's basketball team looks to hand Army its first league loss and first home loss of the season when the Mountain Hawks travel to West Point on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest. Lehigh's league-leading offense will face a tough test against the Black Knights' tough defense, which is ranked at the top of many statistical measures. The game can be viewed for free on the Patriot League Network and fans can listen live on WLVR-FM (91.3) or wlvr.org.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 71-64 loss at Boston University on Sunday. Lehigh got off to a slow start and found itself down by as much as 20 early in the first half. The Mountain Hawks put together a late rally, but Lehigh couldn't overcome the slow start as it was handed its first league loss of the season.

Sophomore Kerry Kinek led Lehigh with 16 points, 14 of which came in the second half. Sophomore Elizabeth Sharlow scored 12 first-half tallies and grabbed a team-leading nine rebounds. Freshman Kayla Burton hit a few late threes to accumulate 11 points, while junior Sarah Williams notched ten second-half points.

The Mountain Hawks held a 47-42 rebound advantage and forced a season-high 27 BU turnovers while snatching a season-best 20 steals. Lehigh shot just 33.8 percent (24-of-71) from the floor, while the Terriers shot 41.9 percent (26-of-62).

Lehigh averages a league-leading 75.8 points and 42.6 rebounds per game. Kinek is the league's second-leading scorer with 18.5 points per game and Burton's 44.4 three-point shooting percentage sits atop the league charts.

Army enters Wednesday's game with a 2-0 league record and 10-3 overall record. The Black Knights are 7-0 at home this season.

The Black Knights claimed a come-from-behind 66-62 overtime win at Loyola on Sunday. Sophomore Kelsey Minato scored a career-high 29 points and closed the game with six straight to lift Army past the Greyhounds. Loyla led by as many as ten points in the second half.

Minato's 29 points extended her league-leading double-digit scoring streak to 29 games. Senior Jen Hazlett finished with ten points and six rebounds, while junior Olivia Schretzman tied her career high with 15 rebounds.

Minato is the Patriot League's leading scorer, averaging 20.1 points per game. She also leads the league in free throw percentage (.936), three-point field goals made per game (2.9), and minutes per game (36.2). Schretzman ranks fourth in the league in rebounding with an average of 7.5 per game.

The Black Knights rank second in the league in scoring defense, while Lehigh has the most prolific offense. Army's 10.8 scoring margin tops the league charts as does their field goal percentage defense (35.4), three-point defense (26.9), rebounding defense (32.0), rebounding margin (+8.7) and offensive rebounds per game (15.0).
