BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's golf team put together a successful 2012-13 season, qualifying for its first NCAA Regional as the Mountain Hawks won their first Patriot League Championship since 1997, while also taking first place in three different tournaments. Freshman Harley Abrams played a key role to the Mountain Hawks success on the course, and he was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll announced Friday.
The Boca Raton, Fla. native posted a 3.50 grade point average this past semester in Lehigh's College of Arts and Sciences. He was a first team All-Patriot League performer, finishing fourth at the Patriot League Championship and took home the team's Outstanding Athlete Award.
Thirty-four student-athletes were named to this year's Patriot League Men's Golf Academic Honor Roll. Chris House of Navy was voted Scholar-Athlete of the Year last month.
To be eligible for the Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
