Mountain Hawks return from layoff to host two matches this weekend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team looks to build momentum off its second win of the season last time out as the Mountain Hawks welcome Towson and Temple to the Lewis Tennis Center for their last two matches of an eight match home stand before heading to Florida over spring break.
The Mountain Hawks were off last weekend, and last time out Lehigh split a pair of matches, losing 7-0 to Stony Brook and winning 6-1
against Mount St. Mary's to improve to 2-5 on the spring season. Junior Jenai Bilimoria and sophomore Abby Farrell pulled off an 8-5 doubles win against Stony Brook, while the Mountain Hawks impressed with five singles wins against Mount St. Mary's and two doubles wins, including a second straight win from Bilimoria and Farrell.
The duo of Bilimoria and Farrell are Lehigh's top doubles team statistically, with a 3-4 record, while Farrell and junior Jill Sloand lead the Mountain Hawks in singles play with a 3-4 mark.
Towson is 1-2 on the season with a win over Salisbury on February 16 and losses to Maryland and Seton Hall in the spring. The Tigers will make a stop in Easton to take onl Lafayette on Friday night before heading to Bethlehem to take on the Mountain Hawks on Saturday. In their trip to Lehigh last season, the Tigers defeated the Mountain Hawks 6-1.
Temple is 2-7 on the season after snapping a five-match losing streak with a win against St. Bonaventure last Sunday. The Owls will visit Lehigh for the first time since 2008 when they defeated the Mountain Hawks 7-0.
Action begins Saturday when Lehigh squares off with Towson at 12 p.m. inside the Lewis Tennis Center. Sunday's Lehigh-Temple match is set for a 2 p.m. start.
