Rowing wraps up weekend at Head of the Charles

BOSTON, Mass. - The Lehigh rowing team wrapped up its weekend at the Head of the Charles with the Women's Championship Eight racing Sunday. The Mountain Hawks competed in three different events over the weekend (also the Men's Collegiate Fours and Men's Alumni Eights) to kick off their 2012-13 season.
“As a whole, our alumni had a great showing which is exciting to see them doing pretty well, especially because we have a big alumni event around the Head of the Charles” said Lehigh head coach Brian Conley. “Both our boats had to come to a stop in the middle of the races. We have a lot of things to improve upon.”
Lehigh finished 36th in the Men's Collegiate Fours with a time of 18:29.26. The Women's Championship Eights placed 40th, coming in at 19:31.58.
Meanwhile, Lehigh's Men's Alumni Eights placed 30th with a time of 16:51.01.
The Mountain Hawks return to action next weekend when they compete in the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia.
