Mountain Hawks fourth after day one in N.J.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – In its first event of the fall season, the Lehigh men's golf team sits in fourth place after 36 holes at the Rutgers Invitational with a score of 595 (293, 302). The top performer for the Mountain Hawks on day one was senior captain Dwight D'Iorio, who shot a 147 (72, 75) and sits eight shots off the lead, shared by Newberry's Matt Killen and Lafayette's Tyler Ostrovsky (139).
Other Mountain Hawks who participated on Friday include junior captain Doug Marcincin, who is tied for 19th with a 148 (72, 76), freshman Alex DiClemente who is a stroke behind at 149 (73, 76), senior Duncan Zeiders who is tied for 32nd at 151 (76, 75) and sophomore Sean Keller who shot 155 (78, 77).
In the team race Newberry College leads the field with a 567 (284, 283) with Seton Hall second with a 577 (297, 280), and Columbia, which is in third place, five shots ahead of the Mountain Hawks, who are one shot ahead of host Rutgers and two shots clear of rival Lafayette.
The 54-hole event concludes with 18 holes beginning Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
