Preseason men's golf poll announced

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its 2010 preseason golf poll on Friday and Lehigh was selected to finish fourth at next month’s league championship, which will take place the weekend of April 24-25 on the campus of Colgate University. The Mountain Hawks finished fourth at last year’s championship after shooting an 899 as a team (296, 299, 304) at West Point Golf Course.
Lehigh will begin its 2010 spring season on March 12 when the Mountain Hawks travel to Savannah, Georgia to take part in the Coca-Cola Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. The action will continue through March 13th.
When Lehigh tees off on Friday it will mark the first time since mid-October that the Mountain Hawks have played in a team tournament. The Brown and White was last in action during the weekend of October 17-18 when the Mountain Hawks hosted the 2009 Kelly Gutshall Invitational. Lehigh finished fourth that weekend with a team score of 620 (303, 317) and was led by Tim Rosenhouse, Steve Suarez and Duncan Zeiders who posted top-15 finishes. Rosenhouse placed sixth with a 152 (72, 80), while Suarez shot a 154 (75, 79) to place 14th and Zeiders tied for 15th with a 155 (79, 76).
