Lehigh hosts Bucknell in Patriot League opener

The Bison have knocked Lehigh out of the Patriot League tournament each of the last two seasons and the Mountain Hawks enter Tuesday’s meeting with a 6-8 record. Lehigh’s two seniors continue to lead the way, with Gwen Dwyer leading the team with 10 singles wins, including an 8-6 record at the first flight. Cessa Murasko-Blank is second on the team with eight victories, playing mostly at No. 5 singles.
Bucknell comes in with a 3-12 record, and the Bison lost their Patriot League opener to Colgate 4-3 on Sunday. Freshman Carlin Calcaterra, and sophomores Paulina Gamboa and Ashley Globerman lead the Bison with eight singles wins apiece.
The Mountain Hawks claimed the regular season match-up 4-3 last year in
Tuesday afternoon’s match gets underway at 3:00 pm from the Ulrich Varsity Courts. The match will be televised locally on Service Electric 2 Sports; with same-night coverage beginning at 8:00 pm. Streaming video will also be available on-demand online at lehighsports.com beginning at 8:00 pm as well.
