Lehigh falls to Bucknell, concludes season

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh was eliminated from Patriot League Tournament contention Wednesday afternoon following a 4-1 loss to Bucknell. With the setback, Lehigh falls to 11-7 on the season, 1-4 in the Patriot League, while Bucknell improves to 15-5 overall, 2-3 in the league. Lehigh lost the doubles point, managing only a win at third doubles. The tandem of Jamie Fass and Maria Anorga earned an 8-2 victory over Rheanna Gaskin and Samantha Berthod. The Mountain Hawks managed only one singles win, which came at first singles. Kristen Nowicki concluded her first season at Lehigh 17-1 by defeating Nada Curcic 6-0, 6-2. The fifth and sixth singles matches were not completed, as Bucknell had already clinched the victory.
